Using their fearsome NFT Champions, players fight for honor and glory in famed Red Village PvP tournaments in front of the malevolent Blood Queen. The game consists of a mix of strategy and luck, with each player choosing a stance (combat strategy) for every fight.

Champions

Each champion is unique with its own characteristics.

• Classes and bloodlines : There are five classes of Champion in The Red Village; the Barbarian, Wizard, Druid, Ranger, and Paladin. Each Champion is completely unique with its own distinct name, skills, attributes, and characteristics. There will only ever be 28,000 of these Pureblood Champions in The Red Village ecosystem spanning across four distinct Bloodlines; Genesis (R1-R3 genotype), Mystic (R4-6), Warlord (R7-R9) and Lionheart (R10-12).

• Rarity traits : Champions have cosmetic traits such as breed, hair style, hair color, armor color, war paints. Cosmetic traits do not impact fighting ability, but are of different rareness and may be valued by collectors.

• Skill traits : each Champion is assigned random skill traits at mint, strength, attack, defense, fatigue (How quickly a Champion recovers after fighting), and special skills. These traits do impact fighting ability.

• Fighting style : Champions are also minted with a natural preference for a fighting style. Fighting styles are aggressive, defensive, accurate, or balanced.

• Which champion to buy : which champion you should buy depends on how you want to play as you choose a stance (fighting style) when you enter a fight. Win rate, Average Hit & Average Hit Taken, Miss Rate & Dodge Rate, Special Attack Rate & Dodge Special Attack Rate are data points you'll need to look at.

Types of fight

There are many different styles of fighting in The Red Village, each style of fight has its own unique rewards, risks, and fighting style.

• Tournaments : this is the first and most fundamental way of participating in The Red Village game. Players pay a small fee to enter their Champion into a multiplayer PVP fighting tournament, held in one of The Red Village arenas, for the entertainment of the ruthless Blood Queen. Before a tournament begins, players choose a fighting style; aggressive, defensive, accurate, or balanced. Tournaments can hold up to 8 Champions, who fight in a 1v1 single-elimination style until only one character is left. The winner and the runner-up then split the pot, 70%/27.5%, with 2.5% returning to The Red Village Community Chest to be used for game development and free-entry tournaments which are held at set intervals.

• To-The-Death matches : To-The-Death is only for the bravest; think of it as ‘playing for keeps.’ Players enter into a 1v1 duel held in front of the merciless Blood Queen. When one Champion is defeated, both NFTs will be transferred into the winning Battlemaster’s wallet.

• Free Tournaments : These Tournaments are available for any Battlemaster and are a great place to test your Champions fighting styles, preferences, and learn more about the game mechanics. The prize pool for these Tournaments will range, but is drawn from the 2.5% that The Red Village game developers take from regular Tournament prize pools.

• Faction Fights : they are the most brutal, most highly anticipated, and most exciting in The Red Village. Factions are composed of members of other NFT communities, who band together within The Red Village and fight together against other Factions. Faction fights can be significantly larger, holding up to 16 Champions (8 per Faction).
